Oldest, Youngest or Middle Child?

Birth order can sometimes help you understand yourself, your relationships to your children and even your parents' relationship with you and your siblings. It's not an exact science, but the theory is the oldest is the most responsible, the middle child is the peacemaker, and the youngest is more of a risk-taker. Good parenting recognizes differences but does not stereotype children. Encourage individual interests, and never compare one child with another.
